Ethical and Legal Issues in the Practice of Clinical Psychology
Presenter:
Penny Clemmons, PhD, JD, MA holds a doctorate in psychology, a law degree, and a master’s degree in Art Business. With a background expertise in forensic populations, she pursed a law degree in 1994 and transitioned from her career as a psychologist to a family law attorney. After nearly 20 years in the legal trenches, Penny attended the Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University and now “limits” her law practice to consultation, mediation, private judging. In addition to having a passion for art, she uses it in her art law mediation work.

Topic:
This course focuses on the intersection of psychology, ethics, and the law. Clinicians’ understanding and application of ethical principles in their clinical practice is an ever expanding challenge and cause of significant concerns.
