Brief Bio
I specialize in helping women learn how to navigate relationships with difficult partners (chemically dependent, narcissistic, sociopathic, or emotionally/physically abusive); be effective caregivers for ill or aging family members; cope with trauma (rape, domestic violence, crime) or decrease feelings of stress, depression or anxiety.
My undergraduate degree in Honors Psychology is from Stanford University, and my master's and doctorate degrees in psychology are from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
My past experience includes work for : The Emergency Treatment Center (a 24 hour mobile emergency team serving Santa Clara county); Santa Barbara County Mental Health Services; UCSB as a Psychology Associate Instructor; San Jose State University Counseling Services; Affiliated Psychologists as a police and fire psychologist for San Jose Police and Fire Departments and the Santa Clara County Sheriffs Department; Stanford University Medical Center Adult Children of Alcoholics Program; Ventura County District Attorney's Victim Services (volunteer); Community Memorial Hospital and Ventura County Medical Center (volunteer); Private Practice for 23 years, Ventura, CA.
