SBCPA Presents: Brief Targeted Interventions: A potential for enhancing outcomes and scaling human capacity in a time of crisis and automation
Presenter: Erik Bisanz, M.A. NOTE: This event counts as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Learning Category #2 - Academic as Self-Directed Learning of which you can obtain 6 hours maximum each renewal period. It is not a CPA Approved CE Event but it still counts towards CPD requirements for psychologists.
Erik Bisanz started working in youth work, mental health, and addictions 20 years ago, through various programs addressing social and mental health issues from interesting angles such as mentoring and restorative justice. He later studied counseling psychology at the University of British Columbia with an interest in both practicing and becoming part of emerging innovations in mental health care. His Master’s research involved interviewing practitioners who achieve strong results working with trauma using surprisingly brief interventions, and using common factors theory as a lens to understand how their results might be better studied or even replicated. Since graduating, he has worked with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and practitioners to explore how to meet rising demands for mental health service by using modern technological and scientific tools.
