Salon: Healthcare Reform

Amanda Levy, of the California Psychological Association will present a timely Salon  on Friday, October 4th from 5:30-7:15pm, for our members entitled:

"How Will Healthcare Reform Affect My Practice?"

Ms. Levy has been the California Psychological Association's Director of Government Affairs since 2004.  Her work with CPA has involved among other things, being:

§    Chief Lobbyist for CPA; Liaison to the California Legislature, the Governor’s Office and various State Departments

§    Coordinator of policy positions, lobbying strategy, and grassroots outreach to all psychologists in California 

§    Manager of  fundraising operations for the CPA Political Action Committee

§    Coordinator of Annual Leadership and Advocacy Conference/Lobby Day

§    Staff liaison to Government Affairs Committee, Presidential Taskforces, and Practice Divisions

§    Supervisor of full time legislative assistant, undergraduate and graduate interns  


In addition, Ms. Levy will be joined in her presentation by Michael Ritz, Ph.D. (who has been a California-Licensed Psychologist since 1976) and Jorge Wong, Ph.D., CCEP, CHC (who is currently working with Asian Americans for Community Involvement in San Jose, CA., and has a list of honors and accomplishments too lengthy to begin listing here!).


Friday, October 4th, 5:15-7:30pm, FREE to SBCPA Members, and worth 1.5 CE credits to California Licensed Psychologists

at the home of Dean Given, Ph.D. (658 Chelham Way, Santa Barbara, CA. 93108), parking on the street
